Missouri Fiddling Learn-A-Tune Center
Tune Pages consist of transcriptions of various Missouri-style fiddle tunes. Most are my renditions as I learned and adapted them from the playing of many great fiddlers. In the course of time I hope to add MP3 performance files and accompaniment lead sheets.
NOTE: To the best of my knowledge this material is traditional and in the Public Domain. If any visitor to these pages wishes to share information to the contrary please do so to permit me to seek proper permission whenever possible.
Check out my list of One Hundred Essential Missouri Fiddle Tunes. If you want to learn strictly by ear or just listen to some tunes visit my MP3 page.
Thanks and keep fiddlin'. Charlie Walden
The PRINT link will display the tune by itself. You can then print a clean copy by using the print command in your file menu (File, Print on your browser in the upper left on your screen) or you can right button click anywhere in the image and save it to your computer. Click Back on your browser to return to the tune page.
The PERFORMANCE link will take you to my MP3 page where you can look for a sample performance of the tune that interests you. Note: the performance version will undoubtedly vary from the transcription. It is there to give you some ideas about how the tune should actually be executed once you've learned the notes.
The HELP link will display much the same instructions you see above. If you are having trouble please email me.
